4. From the Edit menu, select Extended Function. On the AUX tab of the
Extended Function configuration window:
a. Assign DB-25 Pin 12 as an Input with a function of External Hook.
b. Assign DB-25 Pin 13 as an Input with the function External PTT (Voice).
The custom cable provided by Zetron (709-7822) uses pin12 for the External
Hook signal and pin13 for the External PTT signal to the radio.
5. On the Modulation Line tab of the Extended Function configuration window, in
the row labeled External PTT (Voice):
a. Set the Mic Line field to Disconnect.
b. Set the MI2 Line field to Connect.
c. Set the DI Line field to Disconnect.
d. Set the Mic Line, the MI2 Line, and the DI Line parameter fields to the
Disconnect value in the Mic PTT data row.
e. Set the with QT/DQT and with STE fields to the appropriate values for your
radio system.
The Model 360 radio interface uses the DC-Coupled low level MI2 Line on pin
6 of the radio DB-25 connector for TX audio.
Note
The Mic Line/Mic PTT field may be set to Connect if the user
ever intends to attach a hand-held microphone to the front of
the radio and input PTT at the radio. In most cases where the
Model 360 interface and the radio are located in an equipment
room, this field can be set to Disconnect.
